Connect a Custom Domain

Want to use myapp.com instead of myapp.itsalive.co? Custom domains are available on the Pro plan and give your app a professional, branded URL.

Prerequisites

An itsalive.co app already deployed
A domain you own
Access to your domain's DNS settings
Pro plan ($50/year per site)

Step 1: Configure DNS

Add these DNS records at your domain registrar:

For root domain (myapp.com)

Type: A
Name: @
Value: 76.76.21.21

For www subdomain (www.myapp.com)

Type: CNAME
Name: www
Value: cname.itsalive.co

Step 2: Add Domain in Dashboard

Go to your dashboard
Select your app
Click "Custom Domain"
Enter your domain (e.g., myapp.com)
Click "Add Domain"

Step 3: Wait for DNS Propagation

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate, but usually work within a few minutes. You can check propagation status at dnschecker.org.

SSL Certificate

We automatically provision an SSL certificate for your custom domain. This happens automatically once DNS is configured correctly. Your site will be available at both http:// and https://, with automatic redirect to HTTPS.

Troubleshooting

Domain not working?

Double-check your DNS records are correct
Wait a few more minutes for propagation
Make sure you added the domain in your dashboard

SSL errors?

SSL certificates can take up to an hour to provision
Clear your browser cache and try again
Try an incognito window

Multiple Domains

You can point multiple domains to the same app. Just add each one in your dashboard. This is useful for:

Root domain + www (myapp.com and www.myapp.com)
Multiple TLDs (myapp.com and myapp.io)
Regional domains (myapp.co.uk)
